Modern production methods and different material characteristics lead to a fast development of sheet metal processing in recent years. No matter if housings, facade sheets, containers, or pipelines are concerned, in most cases, where you needed several individual parts in the past, only one complex sheet metal bending part is used today.

HiCAD neXt offers the complete solution for modern design techniques in sheet metal processing in relation to 2D and 3D functionality. Functions and automatisms, especially adjusted to sheet metal processing tighten routine processes, thus increasing productivity. The unique 2D/3D universality arranges for an unproblematic change from 2D to 3D in sheet metal processing as well.

Special Functions and Automatisms
Appropriate strategies for corners, notches etc. can be created directly, layouts can be calculated or flanges can be connected when designing sheet metal edge parts. Standard processes like automatic layout dimensioning, bending simulation with accurate bending processes or the automatic development are included just like variants for the design of pipes, container parts, funnels and Y-branch pipes. Layouts provided with all production relevant information can be passed on to CAM work places directly. Different interfaces - e.g. PEPS or PN4000 - are available.

The Fast Way from 2D to 3D Sheet Metal
ISD developed a generation process especially for complex sheet metal parts. This process is used to derive the unfolded 3D sheet metal body automatedly from the exact 2D representation of the unfolded sheet metal part with bending zones. You can save up to 90% of time compared to a new design.
