The workflow management - core of the process managements- guarantees that the process flow is carried out according to strictly defined rules right from the start and is in charge of a smooth and harmonized processing of all tasks during the process flow. It controls modifications and release processes as well as access to the product model already during the phase of product creation. Process flows can also be started time- or event controlled. A typical use of the workflow is the release and modification process.

Order steps, work instructions and other information are automatically generated within the workflow and then passed on to the responsible members of staff. The individual member of staff has an overview of the tasks to perform and the current state of the order.

A special feature is the folder technique supported by HELiOS neXt. It is used to manage orders. A folder contains all objects – documents and parts – of the appropriate order. The status change of the folder can be linked to the object state. This way you are enabled to specify that the status change of the folder is only possible when all objects included are released or when specific objects are included.
