The document management is in charge of the organisation of the central
filing process within the company. All data and documents belonging to a
product are collected and managed here. Conventionally created
documents, i.e. paper drawings, photos etc. can be included with the
help of the appropriate scan function.
HELiOS neXt does not
only manage documents created with HiCAD neXt, but permit the definition
and management of any file types, e.g. other CAD programs, Office files
etc., by integrating other user systems. Any links are possible between
the documents and parts which are managed. Stating a release relevance
ensures certain process courses.

Input of Document Master data
Master data are recorded for each document, i.e. the most important
information like project affiliation, editor, department, date of change
etc. Thus allowing every person involved in the process an overview of
all documents belonging to a product – supported by a comfortable search
function and graphic preview. The allocation of access rights and the
management of user groups clearly regulates the access to documents.
The document management guarantees at the same time that it is always
the current version of the documents which is used, as documents which
are processed are blocked for other users. |
